I'm trying to get better at simply starting. I've even set myself a goal: one collage per week. The intention here is to build that creative habit and get some practice in. My current method involves flipping through magazines, letting objects, shapes, and colors spark my imagination, and then just diving in to see what happens

This week, my initial idea was a happy birthday collage. I'm working towards building a greeting card collection (yes, I’m “speaking” it into existence), and "Happy Birthday" has felt like the obvious place to begin. I reached for blue, a color that feels celebratory to me. Then, a pink caught my eye, and I started playing around with that. The birthday card idea quickly morphed into something else entirely.
